Why Russia is Scared of Finland Joining NATO

On February 24th, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin sought to make his mark on Russian history by restoring Ukraine to a puppet state and pushing NATO back and away from its borders. Instead, President Putin will go down in history as the man who made NATO great again and even added additional countries to its roster. But why is Russia so scared of Finland and Sweden joining NATO? The Russian invasion of Ukraine was provoked in large part by the nation's refusal to submit to Kremlin authority. After a presidential coup in 2014, Ukraine looked like it was on a path to join the West and leave Russia behind. Russian mum’s fight to save sons from President Putin's war in Ukraine – BBC News

Ukraine's government has said fighting in the eastern Donbas region has reached a new intensity. Russia is attacking more than 40 towns and storming Ukrainian positions in several areas. Among the Russian forces who've been fighting are two brothers. Their mother claims they were conscripted, despite President Vladimir Putin's assurance that only professional soldiers had been deployed. The Russian defence ministry has now admitted that conscripts were among military personnel involved in the Russian offensive in Ukraine. After its defeat at Endor, the Empire struggles to maintain control over a fractured galaxy. Seizing the opportunity, the New Republic launches a desperate assault to liberate the galactic capital. The X-Wing pilots of Wraith Squadron rush into the fray to add support.... ----------- Directed by Christopher Parks Starring Keith Cherry and Christopher Parks as Wraith One and Two. ----------- This is a passion project of about 4 years in the making. I was a big fan of the X-Wing PC games as a kid and also really enjoyed Michael Stackpole's X-Wing book series. I’ve always had an interest in those New Republic adventures which is chiefly why I decided to make this short. I hope you all like it! The primary software and workflow consisted of an animation pipeline in Blender that would be exported and rendered in Houdini using the GPU renderer Redshift. Final compositing was finished in After Effects. Apart from a few kitbash sets, all assets were modeled and textured (Substance Painter) from scratch since the making of the spaceships is part of the fun. ------------ This short film is based off the X-Wing video game series and Michael Stackpole's X-Wing novel The Krytos Trap. ------------ Check out Arya Moghaddam’s fan film “Star Wars: Destroyer” to see Keith Cherry as Wraith One again!
